Sunday night, Rod Stewart took to the stage with DNCE to perform the newly re-imagined “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy” at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards. The performance, live from a remote location in Las Vegas, was the party the spirit of the show encompasses. From room to room, Stewart and DNCE danced throughout the venue with fans capturing “Sexy” as it should always be performed.

Kicking off a newly minted partnership with Republic Records, Sir Rod Stewart, will join forces with multi-platinum selling group DNCE for the release of a strikingly re-imagined version of one of the most iconic dance tracks of all time, Stewart’s “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy.” Stewart and DNCE will serve up “Sexy” for a new generation, available everywhere now.
To celebrate the single’s release, Stewart and DNCE will perform “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy” for the first time ever at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards on August 27th
Originally released in 1978 on his classic ninth album Blondes Have More Fun, “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy” stands out as one of his signature songs, peaking at #1 in six countries including the US where it reigned at the top of the US Billboard Hot 100 chart four weeks in February 1979 and was named among Rolling Stone’s “500 Greatest Songs of All Time.”
