(LOS ANGELES – January 13, 2011) Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks announced on The Ellen DeGeneres Show airing today, Thursday, January 13, (check local listings) that they have joined forces for one of the most anticipated musical events of the year, THE HEART & SOUL TOUR. Launching March 20, 2011 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the tour will unite two of music’s most legendary forces for a series of arena concerts throughout North America - with performances already confirmed in New York, Toronto, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit, Tampa, Montreal and more. Fans can tune-in to the show on Thursday, January 13 and log-on to watch their exclusive interview and performances. The tour will feature both artists performing all rock & roll sets from their incomparable catalogs of hits and backed by an incredible band of musicians and stage production. Tickets go on sale beginning Friday, January 21.
Said Rod Stewart: “We haven’t yet begun rehearsals but I can already tell you this, with Stevie on board our audiences are in store for an evening of pure rock & roll music. I’m already thinking about which of my old favourites to bring back and vocally, I think we’ve both begun thinking about which songs might be great fun and well-suited for a duet or two.”
In a career spanning five decades, with an estimated 250 million album and single sales, Rod Stewart is a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and indisputably one of the most successful performers of all time. He finished 2010 at the top of both the touring and album charts - highlighted by his critically-heralded, sold-out first run of concerts at The Colosseum in Las Vegas, a “Boxscore,” chart-topping, 33-date European summer tour which included 4 sold-out dates at London’s O2 Arena. Throughout his prolific career, he’s garnered 16-Grammy nominations, including his current for “Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album," and sales of more than one million albums worldwide for his 2010 album FLY ME TO THE MOON…THE GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK, VOLUME V. In addition, Rod Stewart is set to release THE BEST OF…THE GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK available in stores February 1st, 2011 (J Records).
Stevie Nicks, Rock and Roll's reigning queen, will be releasing her highly anticipated new CD “IN: YOUR DREAMS” on May 3, 2011. The new album, her first album of new material in a decade, was co-produced by former Eurythmic Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard. The new album is now available for fans to pre order at stevienicks.warnerreprise.com. Fans who pre-order the CD will receive an instant download of the record's first single, the Nicks’ penned "Secret Love”. The official release date of the single is February 3rd. Nicks is a multi-Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and member of Fleetwood Mac.
Tickets for THE HEART & SOUL TOUR will go on-sale beginning January 21, 2011 at 10:00 AM local time. Additional North American on-sales will take place over the following few weeks as detailed in the below tour itinerary.

I was at the Heart and Soul Tour in Phoenix wearing a white leather tie from a previous Rod Stewart concert and had the best time of my life! Everything was on such a grand scale,especially the music, the wardrobe, the ochestra, the song selections, and the awesome videos! I loved it all! Totally not fair!! Last year the Day of the Concert, the Show was canceled in Tulsa!! I had been counting down the Days!! Everyone was devastated of the News! It has always been a sold out Show in Tulsa! Please reconsider on returning?? Tulsa is one of your greatest Fans!!!

Seems there are more than one screw up on the pre sale dates.
KEB says the Phoenix one seems messed up as well.
What kind of shoddy operation is this? Who is at fault here? The promoter, Ticketmaster? Amex?

PLEASE COME TO TEXAS!!! I cannot believe both, Rod Stewart & Stevie Nicks on the same show!! It will be so awesome, with the economy today it will be hard to travel very far , so please add Texas to your tour.
I have been going t see you and Ms Nicks since the late 70's and do not want to have to miss this tour.

Rod please come to Texas !!! You know your fans here love you. I'm in Houston, but will travel to San Antonio, Dallas or Austin....just come to TEXAS! I went to Vegas for the first time in November just to see your show. Loved Vegas, Loved your show. You held my hand when you came and sat down on the edge of the stage during your encore. It was my birthday, what a gift that was, truly a night I will always remember.

This is so exciting!!!! What a great duo for a concert, but as others have said it seems to be mainly east coast. Couldn't they come to San Francisco or even Sacramento, either one wouldn't be a bad drive. I will never forget the first time I saw Rod Stewart. It was either Fall of 1974 or Spring 1975 and he played a local college football field on a raised stage. He brought a small but decent sized string section with him and I was working as concert reporter for my college paper. It was GLORIOUS, I was totally in seventh heaven. I was almost under the edge of the stage taking wonderful pictures of him. I feel like it was yesterday. Fond memories, mary

Please,please come to Austin,TX !! We drove to Tulsa,Ok to see you last year and the concert got cancelled the day of! So we turned around and drove back to Austin. My dad just turned 70 and is a HUGE fan of yours,,,I would love to get him tickets to see you!! We know your friend Steve S. here in Austin that you played soccer with...so we would get a huge group of fans to come and party with you! COME TO AUSTIN,TEXAS!

The tour of the century where "Hot Legs meets Leather and Lace". WOW. To bad that I must miss this tour as there seems to be a lack of dates for the western US. I hope and pray that these shows have all the success and pazaz so a second tour is added. As an old DJ I played these two a lot and can proudly claim to have almost every thing recorded on vinal.

SOOOOOOOO excited to see you April 15th in Phoenix. I have NEVER missed a concert. You have been my favorite artist ROD since I was in the 3rd grade. I can't find tickets ON SALE anywhere yet though. I am 41 years old now and still a die hard fan!!! I can't wait!

Just heard the GREAT news on Ellen! Rod Stewart was my very first concert ever. I rec'd a pair of tickets hidden inside one of his albums, yes I said it, "album" (lol) as a birthday gift when I was 15!!! It was, good-bye Donny Osmond & Hello Rod Stewart!!!! (lol) I'm excited....two legends of my time on one stage...awesome!

Most exciting news in a long time in the music industry! Two great performers in one package. I hope the schedule and ticket arrangements are released soon. And regarding the first comment, I am in South Carolina - we NEVER get these kinds of opportunities to see such great performers! We would either have to go to Atlanta, Florida, possibly Charlotte - or sometimes these "heavy hitting" performers never make it to the eastern US states. So I'm thrilled we are included this time! Even if we have to go to another "eastern" state, at least it will be worth the drive! Whoever came up with this tour arrangement - congratulations on a wonderful duet!!! von_alm@bellsouth.net
