Rod Stewart will headline the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival Saturday, April 28, stepping in for Aretha Franklin who on the advice of her doctors is unable to perform. The 2018 Festival is scheduled for April 27 – 29 and May 3 – 6.
In a written statement, Ms. Franklin’s management stated:
“Aretha Franklin has been ordered by her doctor to stay off the road and rest completely for at least the next two months. She is extremely disappointed she cannot perform at this year’s New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival as she had expected and hoped to.”
Rod Stewart has been confirmed to headline on Saturday, April 28.

Advanced tickets for Jazz Fest are $65. The gate price ticket will be $80. Children’s tickets (ages 2 – 10) are still only $5 and are available at the gate only. This year “Locals Thursday,” a longstanding Jazz Fest tradition, will cost only $50 at the gate on May 3 for Louisiana residents who present valid identification, up to two admissions per resident. Regularly priced, single-day tickets to Jazz Fest are on sale by specific weekend, with each ticket valid for a single day’s attendance.
